TiptekThe Center for Nanostructured Electronic Materials has stimulated the creation of a new start-up company, Tiptek, LLC.  CNEM principal investigators Joe Lyding and Greg Girolami co-founded the company in 2011 along with CEO Dr. Scott Lockledge.  Tiptek is currently perfecting its process to manufacture extremely sharp and durable AFM probes.  Tiptek's AFM probes afford very high resolution AFM images over long periods of use, unlike conventional probes which quickly suffer from degraded resolution owing to tip wear.  See Tiptek's website www.tiptek.com
